Sandra Tarruella STUDIO  is characterized by creating spaces that cause emotions.
We take every project as a new challenge, interpreting the  needs and wishes of the client, focusing into the future, but reviewing and respecting the past.
Our work is based on knowledge and the complexity of traditional processes of the design culture, but also in the research and study of new interior architectural systems and materials.
The rigor in technical development and our experience in the field allows us to synthesize this information to reinterpret, think, and give a more accurate and precise solution, achieving an idea that innovates and ensures a successful final result.


Sandra Tarruella began her career in 1984 with the design of El Mordisco, the first restaurant founded by Grupo Tragaluz Restaurants. After several years of professional experience she founded Tarruella-Lopez in 1992 through 2009. She opened her new studio that same year.
 Mrs. Tarruella now has a career spanning more than 27 years and over 100 projects built, including some which have had a great media impact. She leads a young team that includes designers and professionals from different disciplines, positioning as an interior design reference firm both  in Spain and internationally. The studio has received numerous awards and prizes for its projects, and has become a reference amongst the media and specialized press, conferences and lectures, and publication

Sandra Tarruella studio has a wide experience developing restaurant projects, both in design development and business strategy and plan, and resulting an added business value of our firm. Other project typologies include hospitality, commercial, ephemeral and workspaces.

Sandra Tarruella Studio now offers a variety of services covering all phases of project development from initiation until its construction process, including architecture, interior design, graphic design, naming, merchandising, landscaping, in addition to all related technical aspects, budgets, and permits. The studio has a team of external collaborators and reliable contractors, and is currently developing its international expansion with projects built both in North America and Europe, and is growing a network of international partners to meet this new demand.
